Big Sky season one finale spoilers follow.

Big Sky has just wrapped up its first season, and in the show's typical fashion we were left on a pretty big cliffhanger.

The episode 'Love Is a Strange and Dangerous Thing' saw Ronald (Brian Geraghty) lead the team, including Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) and Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) to a victim.

However, it proved part of a bigger plan as Ronald tried to strangle Cassie, and while there was an ensuring fracas, Jenny was shot in the melee as Ronald tried to escape.

Whether Jenny survives remains to be seen, though given that the show previously brought back Rick Legarski (John Carroll Lynch) to life, anything could be possible.

Speaking about her odds to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Elwood Reid said: "That was something that came up in the writers' room, which is: You shot a major character in the head and the next week he was up and running. Not up and running, but he was back.

"It's pretty bad for her," he went on to admit. "And it's also pretty bad for Cassie because she's chasing after some pretty bad guys, including Ronald. We don't know who this mysterious group is that broke him out.

"Both women are in jeopardy. Nobody's off limits; everybody's fair game. We're going to go that way right to the end of the show – ride or die with that ethos."

Big Sky airs on ABC in the US and Disney+ in the UK, with season 1b starting up again on Friday, May 21.
