Big Sky season one spoilers follow.

Two characters won't be returning for the second season of ABC's Big Sky.

Britt Robertson (Under the Dome, For the People), who played Cheyenne Kleinsasser on the first season, and Michelle Forbes (The Killing, True Blood), who played Margaret Kleinsasser, will not be back for the new episodes, reports TV Line.

Cheyenne and Margaret Kleinsasser had key roles in the first series, as the last surviving members of the Kleinsasser family by the season finale.

The Kleinsasser clan were introduced halfway through the first season, when Jenny's old flame Blake (Michael Raymond-James) comes into the plot, asking Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) to clear his name. The dysfunctional family remained central to the drama for the rest of the series, as they were involved in a series of murders and significant crimes.

The final episode saw Cheyenne tell Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Hoyt that her father Horst (Ted Levine) was dead, and she would be taking over as the head of the Kleinsasser household.

While it's not clear what's next for Robertson, Forbes has recently joined the cast of ABC’s hit medical drama New Amsterdam. In the upcoming fourth season, she will play Dr Veronica Fuentes, who is brought into the hospital to save it from financial ruin.
