'Use a Bigger Ball': Dallas's Leaning Tower Endures Follow-Up Demo Attempt

The size of a wrecking ball being used in the second effort to demolish Dallas’s Affiliated Computer Services building on Monday, February 24, was mocked by spectators, with one person posing with a sign that read “use a bigger ball.”

The building, which has been dubbed The Leaning Tower of Dallas after an initial attempt at a controlled implosion on February 16 failed, has delighted internet users and locals, the latter group posing for pictures in front of it.

According to local reports, the core of the building, including the elevator shaft, failed to fall along with the rest of the structure during demolition on Sunday, February 16.

The Dallas Morning News quoted a February 24 email from Lloyd D Nabors Demolition, the company responsible for taking down the building, that said the process would take three or four days to finish.
