Bike-Riding, Potty-Trained Alligator Is Removed From Owner Because He’s Too Big

A woman who has trained her pet alligator to ride a quad bike and go the toilet in a POTTY has been left devastated after officials decided it was too big to live with her.

Rambo is not your standard, run-of-the-mill reptile, and as well as its driving abilities, he also likes to dress up and basically be as human as possible.

The 15-year-old has been living with owner Mary Thorn but she has been banned from keeping him in her home in Florida because he’s now a mammoth 6ft long.

Mary, who adopted the gator 11 years ago, is understandably upset at having to give up Rambo.

She told the New York Daily News: “He’s like my son. He’s my family.

“He’s not a normal gator. He has never been a normal gator.”

Florida Fish and Wildlife have told Mary that she can only keep Rambo if she moves to a property with at least 2.5 acres of open space.

But she insists the reptile is not dangerous like others gators and loves to sit around inside the house.

She added: “He watches TV on top of my dogs.

“People get along with him, kids love him. Brand new babies have sat with him to do pictures…

“When there’s kids around, he doesn’t want to hurt them even by accident, so he closes his mouth real tight so the kids can’t get their fingers inside.

“He’s never hurt anyone.”

Mary is now worried that Rambo will be killed and eaten by other alligators he is housed with.
