Biker dies in A30 Cornwall crash

A man has died of serious injuries after a crash in Penzance. Emergency services rushed to the collision, involving a motorbike on the A30 at Eastern Green, at around 2.35am on today (Friday, January 31).

The road was closed throughout this morning while Devon and Cornwall Police were in attendance. The biker, a 36-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, the police force said.

An investigation was carried out throughout the morning while the closure was in place and Devon and Cornwall Police reopened the road shortly after 11am.

Police officers are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the crash.
