Biker seriously injured after crash with van outside Sainsbury's in Paignton

A biker has suffered a serious injury in a crash in Paignton this afternoon (Friday, November 15). Police were called to the collision between a motorbike and a van in Torquay Road.

The crash took place near the Sainsbury's Local store. It has been confirmed that the bike rider sustained a serious injury which is not life-threatening or changing.

At the time of writing, the road remains blocked in both directions. Drivers should leave extra time for journeys in the area.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers are currently on Torquay Road, following a collision involving a van and a motorbike. The bike rider is believed to have a serious injury, which is not life-threatening or changing. The road is currently blocked while officers are in attendance."
