Bill Clinton is reportedly facing fresh allegations of sexual assault by four women, according to sources within the Democratic party.

The women claim Mr Clinton assaulted them while they were in their late teens and working for playboy billionaire investor Ron Burkle.

Mr Clinton helped the billionaire generate business and reportedly flew around the world with a flock of beautiful young women on Mr Burkle's private jet.

It is not clear exactly when the assaults are alleged to have taken place but they date from after Mr Clinton left the White House in 2001, according to sources within the Democratic Party.

The women have not been named but are reportedly preparing to file four separate lawsuits against him.

There is no suggestion Mr Burkle was aware of any impropriety.

The 71-year-old has faced a number of allegations of sexual misconduct in the past, including his infamous affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky while in office.

Mr Clinton also paid $850,000 to former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones to settle a sexual harassment claim against him.

The settlement led to the House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against the 42nd president. He was later acquitted by the Senate.

In 1999 Juanita Broaddrick, a nursing home administrator, claimed Mr Clinton had raped her while a former White House aide Kathleen Willey claimed he sexually assaulted her during his first term in office.

Mr Clinton has always denied both allegations.

The four women currently taking action are hoping to secure substantial payouts in return for their silence, according to an official who served in Mr Clinton's administration.

However if their attempt at a payout fails they are said to be ready to go public with their allegations.

A member of Mr Clinton's legal team has confirmed the existence of the new allegations, telling the Mail Online: "Obviously, I'm aware of [the allegations] but can't talk about them".

However Mr Clinton's lawyer did not responded to the Telegraph's request for comment.

"Bill is distraught at the thought of having to testify and defend himself against sex charges again," a Democratic Party official told the Mail Online.

"He hopes his legal team can somehow stop the women from filing charges and drag him through the mud".
