Yahoo News Bill Skarsgård to join Stranger Things star in new thriller
Bill Skarsgård is set to join Stranger Things' Dacre Montgomery in a new thriller movie, based on a true story.
According to Deadline, Dead Man's Wire will follow a former real estate developer seeking revenge from the mortgage banker who did him wrong. Whilst holding the banker hostage, the real estate developer demands $5 million and a personal apology.
The movie will be directed by Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant, with Austin Kolodney penning the script. Skarsgård and Montgomery's roles are currently being kept under wraps.

"It's an absolute thrill to reunite with one of the greatest directors in the world and I can't wait to work with the fantastic actors he's assembling for this film," said producer Cassian Elwes.

Montgomery is best known for his role as Billy Hargrove in Netflix's Stranger Things, which is heading into its fifth and final season. The actor made his exit during the season 3 finale, before making a surprise cameo in season 4.
Since then, he has featured in the horror movie Went Up the Hill, alongside The Girl in the Spider's Web star Vicky Krieps.

Meanwhile, Skarsgård will soon be starring as the horrifying vampire Count Orlok in Robert Eggers' Nosferatu. The upcoming remake will be released on New Year's Day (January 1, 2025) in the UK.
Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, Willem Dafoe and Ralph Ineson also star.
Digital Spy awarded Nosferatu five stars in its review, concluding: "Nosferatu ends up being an excellent blend of the folk horror of The Witch and the grander scale of The Northman. In finally realising his passion project, Robert Eggers has treated us all to the best horror movie of the year."

Nosferatu is released in US cinemas on December 25 and is released in UK cinemas on January 1, 2025.
