Billions will be back for another run as the Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti-led series has been renewed for a sixth season.
Additionally, Corey Stoll, who guest starred as Mike Prince in the financial thriller, has now been promoted to a series regular.
News of the show's renewal comes despite the fact it is yet to resume production on the final five episodes of season 5, which were held back by the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Deadline, Showtime are hoping that the remaining five episodes will air in 2021. It's also been suggested that, when production finally resumes on season 5, they will continue right through to season 6.
Showtime previously announced that production on season 5 would be split in two parts to account for the change in schedule. The second half was originally meant to air this autumn.
Season 5 saw Damian Lewis's Bobby Axelrod and Giamatti's Chuck Rhoades reignite their vicious rivalry, while new competition also reared its head. Chuck ended up battling it out with a formidable district attorney, while Wendy Rhoades, played by Maggie Siff, formed a surprising new alliance, much to Chuck's displeasure.
The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies guest starred as Catherine Brant, an Ivy League sociology professor and bestselling author, but it's currently unclear if she'll be returning for season 6.
The series also stars David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin and Jeffrey DeMunn.
Billions airs on Showtime in the US, while UK viewers can watch it on Sky Atlantic, NOW TV and Amazon Prime Video.
