Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi Irwin is pregnant with her first child.
The 22-year-old star of Crikey! It’s The Irwins - whose zookeeper and conservationist dad died from a stingray injury to the heart in 2006 - married American wakeboarding champion Chandler Powell in a private ceremony at Australia Zoo in April.
Bindi shared a picture of herself and Powell holding a tiny Australia Zoo uniform on Instagram, captioned: “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021.”

The reality TV star added: “Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.
“Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.
“Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”
Her mother Terri Irwin tweeted: “This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby! Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart. While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud.”

Powell, 23, met Bindi in 2013 when he visited Australia Zoo while on vacation with his family. They officially began dating in July 2015, after Powell contacted Terri Irwin and asked if he could take out her daughter.

The couple were presented with a special Port Jackson fig tree by Hollywood star and friend-of-the-family Russell Crowe to mark their wedding.
In 2018 he moved to Australia, where he works at the zoo and features in the Irwins’ reality show, Crikey! It’s The Irwins.
Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin, who was just 44 when he died, married American-born conservationist Terri in 1992 and they worked together on TV shows up until his death.
Bindi runs the zoo with Powell, her mum Terri and her 16-year-old brother Robert Irwin.
