Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead has said that her decision to share the pain of a previous miscarriage has been a huge help to other women in the same situation.

Felstead, who is currently pregnant and expecting her new arrival in June, spoke about her experience in October last year after having a miscarriage earlier last year.

The reality TV star, who already has one daughter, India, four, said she is still getting messages of thanks and support now.

She told the Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine: "I’m still getting messages from people who are having miscarriages saying they’re so grateful.

"I spoke up. When I discovered I was pregnant again, this helped a lot of people, too.

"Obviously, it’s an incredibly sad thing to experience, but it’s so nice to see I’ve helped them, even in a small way."

In October 2020, Felstead wrote an Instagram post about her experience of miscarriage.

Part of it read: "Today would have been my 18 week mark, but sadly we had an early miscarriage just before 12 weeks.

"Not only was this heartbreaking for us, but it also came as such a shock to me. I hadn’t realised until then how blessed I was with having such a relatively straight forward pregnancy with India - I’ll admit I was naive enough to assume the next one would be as straightforward, but I had two early scans as I was concerned I was bleeding. They found a ‘very strong’ heartbeat. However, on the third scan I was told ‘I’m afraid there’s no heartbeat’."

Felstead already has daughter India with ex-boyfriend and Made In Chelsea co-star JP Patterson, and said she couldn't wait to see fiance Max Darnton holding their new baby.

She said: "There’s nothing nicer than seeing the man of your dreams holding your new baby. It’ll be the best feeling ever."
