Birmingham Bank Holiday forecast hour by hour as Met Office gives two-word verdict
Brummies are set to enjoy several hours of sunshine for the Bank Holiday today as temperatures rise above 20C. According to the Met Office, August 26 will be "feeling pleasant" as the city is graced by sunnier spells.
Temperatures will reach highs of 21C today, Monday, with largely dry, sunny spells predicted. An hour by hour forecast suggests the heat will peak at 4pm. However, there could be a "chance of showers" north of the West Midlands early on in the day.
The Met Office forecasted: "Largely dry, with variable cloud and sunny spells on Bank Holiday Monday." Chance of a few showers in the north of the region early in the day. Feeling pleasant in the sunnier spells, with lighter winds than on Sunday."

Overnight, the public can expect a breezy, but mild night with temperatures dipping to 11C. Towards Tuesday, there's expected to be rain "slowly edging eastwards", bringing with it more showers.
The forecast for Tuesday read: "A band of cloud and rain slowly edging eastwards in Tuesday, turning more showery in the process. Some brighter spells ahead of this feature. Breezy. Feeling warm and humid. Maximum temperature 23 °C."
