Birmingham bus stabbing leaves teen with punctured lung as police make picture appeal

Police are probing the stabbing of an 18-year-old who suffered a punctured lung on a Birmingham bus. Officers today, Wednesday, November 20, issued pictures of two males they want to speak with.

It follows the knifing of a passenger on the 8A bus at Golden Hillock Road in Small Heath. Police said two people stole the victim's mobile phone before stabbing him at around 5pm on Friday, November 15.

No arrests have been made. Police inquiries are ongoing.

Taking to Facebook Birmingham Police posted: "Recognise these people? We're looking to speak to them after a man was stabbed on a bus in Birmingham. Shortly before 5pm on 15 November, the man was a passenger on the 8A bus in Golden Hillock Road, when he was approached by two people who stole his phone before stabbing him.

"They got off the bus and left the area, leaving the man with a punctured lung. We're asking anyone else who was on the bus, or who recognises these two people, to get in touch with us. Contact us via 101 or LiveChat quoting crime number 20/970558/24."
