Birmingham City have announced the Deadline Day final hour signing of attacker Oliver Burke on a season-long loan deal from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
John Eustace has secured another striking option at the last moment as former West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United man Burke has put pen to paper on a temporary deal to St Andrew’s.
The Scotsman, who scored twice in 17 appearances on loan at Millwall last campaign, becomes the 13th and final signing of an extraordinary summer transfer window for Blues.
Quite the journeyman to say the least, the 26-year-old has played for eight different clubs at a senior level over the past seven seasons. He has 26 goals and 20 assists to his name in 233 matches.
“I am delighted to finally be here. Obviously, it is nice and late in the window, but I am happy to get it done. It has been a long day but all worth it in the end,” Burke told Blues TV.
