Birmingham could say goodbye to September with rain for more than 24 hours, warns Met Office
The Met Office has issued a warning for heavy downpours during rush-hour tomorrow, Monday, September 30, with the potential for rain throughout the entire day.
It will be windy this evening with rain becoming persistent and heavy overnight. But a wash out in forecast tomorrow.
Heavy rain is forecast for the West Midlands, across Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Peak District all day, but probably turning drier further south, forecasters said.

In a forecast, the Met Office said: "This Evening and Tonight: Turning increasingly windy this evening with spells of rain moving north across the region. This turning more persistent by around midnight with some heavy rain during the second half of the night. Winds easing later and milder than of late. Minimum temperature 9C.
"Monday: A wet start with some heavy rain during the rush-hour. Heavy rain continuing across Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Peak District all day but probably turning drier further south. Feeling cool. Maximum temperature 14C.
"Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Isolated showers on Tuesday but otherwise mainly dry through mid-week with cloudy periods interspersed by sunny spells. Winds easing allowing some chilly nights with fog patches possible. Temperatures around average."
The Birmingham forecast showed a chance of rain from Sunday evening right the way through until the early hours of Tuesday, October 1.
