Brummies are facing a mixed bag weather wise this weekend. Saturday morning’s sunny intervals will quickly change to looking overcast and Sunday will be much the same.

Temperatures are expected to remain consistent over the next 48 hours. Highs of 18C are expected on both days - with lows hovering around the 12C mark.

The Met Office said its headline finding was warm spells this weekend with some rain possible. Saturday will see light winds while Sunday could turn chilly.

The full forecast for Saturday read: “A dry day is in store to begin the weekend with a mixture of cloud and sunny periods. It will feel warmer too with light winds. Maximum temperature 18C.

“It will stay dry overnight with clear spells initially but generally turning cloudier as the night goes on. Turning chilly where skies remain clear but generally not as cold as recent nights.”

The full forecast for Sunday added: “A much cloudier day and while most places will remain dry, the odd showery outbreak is possible. Breezier than today but feeling quite warm in any sunshine.”

The outlook for Monday to Wednesday went on: “Early cloud and drizzle in the south on Monday, then fine and bright for all. Dry with periods of warm sunshine thereafter, though often chilly overnight with fog patches.”
