Birmingham murder probe dubbed 'crazy for area' as child's buggy spotted by forensic tent
West Midlands Police set up a blue forensic tent and launched a murder probe into the stab death of a man in Birmingham. The victim was found with serious injuries and later declared dead at the scene.
The police tent was located on a cordoned off pathway between Medway Grove and Green Lane, Kings Norton, after officers responded to the incident after 10am today, Tuesday, November 5. A child's buggy could be seen jutting out from beneath the tent's lining.
Police confirmed to BirminghamLive that it was not thought a child was involved in the incident. No arrests have been made and police inquiries are ongoing.

Several marked police cars were parked up along Green Lane, near to the junction of Shannon Road. The cordon also blocks off part of Green Lane where it meets Shannon Road, a busy main route through Kings Norton. Another officer manned a cordon at Teviot Grove.
One resident described the news as "crazy" for the area. She said there's usually anti-social behaviour from kids but it had been quiet recently. Nikki, who lives in the Teviot Grove new builds for the past six years, told BirminghamLive: "I just saw the police cars this morning, and thought, that's a bit crazy. I didn't know it was that.
"It used to be just kids being kids, messing about, playing around in the park, but it's gone quiet. Everyone just keeps themselves to themselves. It's never anything big like murder." She added that it's not your "typical council estate" due to a mix of people, from families to young couples.
Another woman who did not wish to be named, said: "I wasn't here since 8.30am as I've been at work, but I came back and saw police. I don't know how to feel to be honest. It's not a normal thing you see everyday here. It's pretty quiet. Neighbours speak to each other, we say hello, it's a family area so our children play out together, everyone is quite good."
Resident Anna Njie has lived in one of the new builds in the area for five years, said: "I didn't hear anything, this is the first I've seen of it." She added that although she was in the house at 10am, only round the corner from the incident, she didn't hear any police sirens. She continued: "It's very sad because it's always quiet here. The neighbours are really nice. We all greet each other every time, it's really nice."
In a statement, police posted on Facebook: "We've started a murder investigation after a man was found with serious injuries in #KingsNorton. We were called to Medway Grove, at 10.05am today. A man was discovered seriously injured and sadly nothing could be done to save him. We're currently working to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.
