Birmingham restaurant 'serving customers for 20 years' gets £900k overhaul including winter terrace
A Birmingham restaurant that has been serving Italian food to customers on Brindleyplace for the last 20 years will reopen this week following an 'elegant' £900,000 refurbishment. Piccolino has undergone an extensive overhaul in recent weeks to give it a brand new look 'inspired by the chic restaurants of Milan'.
Piccolino opened on Brindleyplace back in 2007. The Individual Restaurants venue will have a brand new centrepiece cocktail bar as well as a 'winterised terrace' built for year-round al fresco dining.
The new terrace will overlook Oozells Square, which is known for being one of the most stunning views in the city. You can read here about its special, springtime feature.

Piccolino's existing traditional red colour scheme has been overhauled to include 'modern tones and textures' and it promises design elements inspired by the finest restaurants in Milan.
Andrew Garton, CEO of Individual Restaurants, said: "We’re incredibly excited to unveil the new look of Piccolino to our guests and the Birmingham community.
"After nearly 20 years in Brindleyplace, it was time to bring something fresh and vibrant to the table. With this refurbishment, we've taken inspiration from the most stylish restaurants in Milan, blending contemporary design with the authentic Italian charm that has always been our hallmark.
"From the new cocktail bar to the year-round Tuscan terrace, we're raising the bar for the dining scene in Birmingham and showing our commitment to the community with this investment. We can't wait for our guests to experience it all."
