The royal family has wished Princess Eugenie a happy birthday, as she celebrates her first one as a mother.
Eugenie, who turned 31 on Tuesday, and husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their baby son August on February 9.
The royal family’s official social media accounts posted an image of the princess with the message: “Wishing Princess Eugenie a very happy birthday today!”
Eugenie’s mother Sarah, Duchess of York shared throwback photographs of her youngest daughter as a toddler dressed in bonnet surrounded by daffodils, and sat on the duchess’s lap as a child.
Sarah wrote: “The joy of children. In deep gratitude for my luck in my glorious girls. Happy Birthday Eugenie.”
She also posted a video montage of spring flowers, featuring the message: “happy birthday dearest eugenie – when i see the colour of spring i think of your birth and what a gift you are budding with colour and love xx”
On Mother’s Day earlier this month, Eugenie revealed a new image of baby August, who was pictured lying on a blanket amid the daffodils.
“I’m so excited to be August’s mum and as you can see I’m enjoying my first Mother’s Day,” she wrote.
Eugenie, daughter of the duchess and the Duke of York, is the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s granddaughter and Princess Beatrice’s younger sister.
