Blac Chyna is facing the Kardashians in court as she sues Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kris and Kylie Jenner for $100 million (£77 million).

The model is suing the family for defamation and claims that they illegally interfered with her business dealings to destroy her reality TV career.

But who is Blac Chyna and how is she connected to the Kardashians?

Who is Blac Chyna?

Blac Chyna, 33, was born Angela White, in Washington, D.C.

She began working as a stripper to pay for her college tuition, but later dropped out of school to pursue stripping and modelling full-time.

Chyna’s popularity as a model and stripper grew, and she was name-dropped by rapper Drake on his 2010 album, Thank Me Later.

In 2010, she was cast as Nicki Minaj’s stunt double in the music video for Monster, by Kanye West, featuring Minaj, Rick Ross, and Jay-Z.

How is Blac Chyna linked to the Kardashians?

Blac Chyna previously dated rapper Tyga, and together they had a son named King Cairo, in 2012. The couple split in 2014, and Tyga went on to date Kylie Jenner until 2017.

She then began dating Rob Kardashian, 35, in 2016, and they were engaged months later. Their daughter, Dream, was born in November of the same year.

The couple starred in their own reality show, Rob and Chyna, but they broke up while filming the second season, so the show was scrapped.

Why is Blac Chyna suing the Kardashians?

Chyna filed the lawsuit against the Kardashians in 2017, and is suing them for $100 million. She claims that the famous family used their reality TV influence and connections to end her reality career, following her split from Rob.

However, the Kardashians have denied any wrongdoing, and have said they had legitimate concerns for Rob’s safety due to the ‘violence and toxicity’ of their relationship.

Chyna is also suing Rob Kardashian, but the difference in her allegations against him mean that case will face a separate trial following the one involving his mother and sisters.
