Black-eyed barm burglar jailed after raid on Accrington sandwich shop
A thief has been jailed after a burglary at an Accrington sandwich shop.
Jack Dwyer was arrested and charged with burglary after the incident on January 10. Lancashire Police were called to reports of a man breaking in to a sandwich shop on Stanley Street in Accrington.
Reports were made that a window had been smashed and the cash register was taken. 23-year-old Dwyer of Devonshire Drive, Clayton-le-Moors was then arrested.

On January 11, Dwyer appeared at Preston Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge. He has been sentenced to four months in prison. The thief's mugshot - released by police today - showed him sporting a nasty looking black eye. It is not clear how he sustained his injury.
Local Neighbourhood Sergeant Andy Thorpe said: “We are glad to be able to remove this burglar off the streets of Accrington. We know how much being burgled can impact businesses, owners and their staff, and we will continue to take robust action in tackling these issues.”
