Black Panther footage shown at Comic-Con, and even the cast couldn't handle it

Black Panther looks so spectacular, even the cast can't quite contain themselves.

With a Thor: Ragnarok trailer released online doing a fine job of dropping jaws across the world, Hall H was treated to its own exclusive treat that sent everyone positively wild: footage from Ryan Coogler's upcoming Wakandan adventure.

Introduced by the director, Variety reports the scene opens in a luxury poker room, where T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), and Okoye (Danai Gurira) whisper amongst each other as Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) arrives to negotiate a deal with Martin Freeman's Everett Ross.

"Don't worry, they're just here to gamble," Ulysses says of his cronies, before asking Everett: "Did you bring the diamonds?" Ulysses pulls something marked 'fragile' from out of the fly of his pants, but violence breaks out when one of his cronies hears Okoye whispering too loudly.

She beats him down with a golden spear, and at one point tosses her wig in a man's face. Nakia opens fire against the attackers, while T'Challa leaps up an entire story, grabs the balcony, and lifts himself up to stop Ulysses from escaping; at this point, his prosthetic arm opens up to reveal a high-powered gun, and he fires it at T'Challa.

All seen by the audience, and by the cast, for the very first time; with the latter leaping to their feet, jumping up and down with excitement and hugging each other, overcome by the momentousness of what they just witnessed.

Black Pantherhits UK cinemas 16 February 2018.
