Blackburn Rovers, Fleetwood and Accrington Stanley games called off due to Storm Bert
Storm Bert has wreaked havoc on the domestic football calendar with Blackburn’s Championship clash against Portsmouth one of a number of games called off.
Bradford’s League Two game against Accrington and Fleetwood’s match with MK Dons have also become victims of the weather. In the National League, the derby between Rochdale and Oldham and Halifax’s meeting with Sutton have also gone.
In a post on X, Blackburn Rovers said: "Due to an unplayable pitch caused by torrential rain, today’s match against Portsmouth at Ewood Park has been postponed by the match official. We will announce details of the rearranged fixture in due course."

A statement from Fleetwood Town said: "Fleetwood Town Football Club can confirm that due to poor conditions caused by Storm Bert, and an unanimous decision, today’s match against MK Dons has been postponed. After a pitch inspection at 10:30am – which was called earlier in the morning, both Town and MK Dons staff, alongside the officials have agreed to postpone the Sky Bet League Two clash in FY7 due to a waterlogged pitch.
"Details for a rearranged fixture will follow in due course. We would like to apologise to supporters for any inconvenience caused."
A statement from Bradford City said: "Referee Michael Barlow inspected the playing surface at the University of Bradford Stadium, as well as surrounding areas. Due to the heavy snowfall and rainfall in the last 10 hours, unfortunately, the pitch has been deemed unplayable."
Storm Bert has brought heavy rain and strong winds across the UK, with amber warnings for snow and ice in place for parts of Scotland and northern England. North of the border, Morton’s Ladbrokes Championship game with Partick Thistle failed a morning pitch inspection.
Kelty Hearts’ League One clash with Arbroath is also off as is the League Two encounter between Bonnyrigg Rose and Stirling Albion.
