Saturday’s game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors was halted after Clippers forward Blake Griffin took an inadvertent elbow to the head.
Griffin suffered a concussion on a drive to the basket late in the first quarter. Golden State’s JaVale McGee attempted to cut off Griffin’s drive but accidentally struck Griffin on the side of the head with an elbow.

Griffin remained down on the court for several minutes before returning to his feet and going into the locker room for further evaluation.

Griffin, who is averaging 23.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, had five points before exiting the game. He is the latest in a bevy of Clippers players to suffer injuries. The team, just 17-20 on the year entering Saturday, was already playing Golden State without Milos Teodosic, Austin Rivers and forward Danilo Gallinari.
