Last week’s attack on seven separate government sites was just the beginning for Sandstorm. After all, they’ve been building to Phase 2 since the first episode of Blindspot, and there’s no way that was all they had in mind. The Season 2 finale has a lot to pay off.
Patterson realizes that in the wake of an attack that size, there will be a full Cabinet meeting at the White House. If Sandstorm hit while they were all gathered, all that governmental power would go to Weller and the Continuity of Government Sub-Committee currently sitting in an underground bunker. If Shepherd is true to form, she’ll have her hooks into every person there. Can Jane and the team stop whatever is planned? It’ll be harder without her brother, Roman, who appears now to have fully returned to the influence of Shepherd, and harder yet without Zapata, who is recuperating in the hospital. Who’s left to save the country?
The Season 2 finale of Blindspot airs May 17 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
