Blizzard-like conditions affected Steamboat Springs, Colorado, during heavy snowfall on November 30, local media reported.
In a video shared by Larry Budwig, a resident of Steamboat Springs and an avid skiier, strong wings and heavy snow can be seen falling on the slopes of Steamboat Resort.
Budwig said: “Today was pretty brutal on the mountain. Heavy snow and incredible wind. Of course I went up skiing.”
Local media reported that more than a foot of snow was expected on November 30, which Mike Weissbluth, a local meteorologist, called an “intense event.”
“That comes as good news to skiers and riders wanting to take advantage of new terrain opening at Steamboat Resort, but the storm is expected to cause travel difficulties,” the Steamboat Pilot reported.
