The National Weather Service in Minnesota warned of dangerous travel conditions on December 1 after a “powerful” winter storm brought heavy snowfall and strong winds to the region.
The Star Tribune reported that the storm stranded drivers and knocked out power to thousands of people over the weekend.
The National Weather Service in Duluth reported that over 19 inches of snow had fallen in the city by the early hours of Sunday morning.
Though the snow and wind was expected to ease on Sunday, travel remained dangerous, the weather service said.
