Daily Shot: When is Your Kid Old Enough for a Cell Phone?

Ali and John dive into one of the most hotly debated parenting topics today as they wonder what is the appropriate age to buy your child a cell phone. Forty-three percent of parents say between 10 and 12, but Ali argues that her 10-year-old has no need for a cell phone because she's never in a situation where she needs to make a call. John agrees, but points out that kids want a phone for its entertainment value (ahem, apps). This leads to a hilarious "back in my day" trip down memory lane as Ali and John remember how they were entertained as kids. Quote of the day: "What happened to a bowl of dirt and a stick?"

More can't-miss moments: Ali (mentally) travels all the way to France as she tells us the French President wants to ban homework (and surprisingly agrees with him?!), comes back to Tuesday's presidential debate and the story that Mitt Romney underwent strenuous training to learn how to sit on a barstool, and hops back across the pond to talk about the controversial art exhibit in London that has killed 9,000 butterflies.
