Bloomfield crowns champions at finals day with dry weather and exciting games
Despite the forecast, the weather stayed dry for Bloomfield’s Finals Day last week. A total of 13 cups were contested. Tina Kendryna secured victories in the Ladies Two Wood and Ladies Handicap. Mo Westlake won the Ladies Colts, while Lynn Newport and Veronica James took the Ladies Pairs.
Jules Paraskeva claimed the Ladies Singles title, later winning the Mixed Pairs alongside Steve Paraskeva, who also won the Men’s Jubilee. Ade Jones emerged as the Men’s Singles champion, with Ross Turnbull winning the Men’s Two Woods and Bob Rice in the Men’s Handicap. Richard Hodges won the Bob Rice Trophy before partnering with Kieran Jones to claim the Men’s Pairs. Kieran also triumphed in the Open Championship.
The winners, Jules Paraskeva and Ade Jones, received their trophies from club President, Susie Walker.
