Blyth arson investigation as fire spreads to home after two cars ignited on driveway

Police are investigating a report of arson after a house and two cars were engulfed in flames.

Emergency services were called to Maidstone Road, in Blyth, at around 1am on Sunday, September 29, where it was reported than an offender had set fire to two vehicles parked on a residential drive, resulting in the fire spreading to a house.

Fire crews attended the scene and the blaze was extinguished a short time later. No-one was reported to have been injured in the incident.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out since the report was first received and today (Thursday) police are appealing to the public for information.
