The first acts have been announced for Cornwall's biggest music festival. Music and surf extravaganza Boardmasters is returning to Newquay next August - with a host of big-name music stars already signed up.

RAYE and The Prodigy are topping the bill in 2025, with Kaiser Chiefs, Rizzle Kicks, and Natasha Bedingfield making special afternoon appearances. There will also be performances from London Grammar, Maribou State, Wet Leg, Bou, Bru-C, Orla Gartland, Paris Paloma, Sally C and Bakey, Biianco and Dan Shake.

They are among 40 performers for 2025 revealed by festival bosses - with the promise of hundreds more still to come. Away from the music, festivalgoers can take in pro surfing competitions, sign up for surf lessons, join a silent disco, go to an outdoor gym and take time out with sound baths, wellness discussions and massages.

RAYE is the woman of the moment in the UK's music industry, with six BRIT Awards to her name and three Grammy nominations. Fellow headliners The Prodigy are renowned for their techno punk sound and string of hits including Omen, Firestarter and Breathe.

In a Boardmasters first, Leeds indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs, hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks and Natasha Bedingfield - known for hits including Unwritten, These Words and Pocketful of Sunshine - will be afternoon special guests to keep the party going throughout the day.
