Oxford return to the Thames this afternoon aiming to win a fifth Boat Race in six years after victory along the same route 12 months ago.

The Oxford crew won the 2017 men's event to reduce their overall deficit to 82-80 and extend their recent dominance over Cambridge.

Around 300,000 people are expected to again line the banks of the river for the 164th Boat Race, with both crews tackling The Championship Course, which stretches 4.2 miles from Putney to Mortlake.
