Model Bobby, 19, who is joining the BBC soap as Freddie Slater, says he was “thrown in at the deep end” during filming.
The teenager said his character will be involved in a huge storyline involving “grief, anger and emotion”.
He told The Mirror: “I’ve been thrown in at the deep end! It was a huge moment for me. I had an emotional scene where I came into the café and I was like, ‘I don’t want any b******t no more, stop lying to me.’
“There was grief, there was anger, there was a lot of emotion, Freddie was overwhelmed.
"Before we filmed it I had prepped but I hadn’t got into the emotions, over lunch I decided to lock myself in my dressing room and get the emotions of Freddie and really understand the emotions of the scene and I feel like I smashed it."
He added: "I was overwhelmed with emotion to the point where I was shaking."
He said a number of cast members rushed to give him emotional support following the scene.
"As soon as they were done Emma (who plays Honey) and Perry (who plays Billy) literally got up and came round the corner to give you a big kiss and a cuddle," he said.
"It meant so much I really appreciate that. I love stuff like that so that’s a big moment for me and they made sure I knew that I did well."
Describing his character, Brazier said: “There is a depth to Freddie… he isn’t trying to prove himself as a bad boy.
“He’s got a lot of depth to him and he’s in touch with that I think but he’s also a lad in the way that he does silly things.
“He’s reckless but it always comes from a place of that depth of love. Freddie is still developing, which is fun.”
Big Brother star Jade, who died aged 27 of cervical cancer in 2009, was reportedly a huge fan of the show.
