Body found in lake in search for missing teenager
Cambridgeshire Police have confirmed that they have recovered a body from a lake near Cambridge. Officers searching for a teenage boy who got into difficulty at a lake made the discovery earlier this afternoon.
Police were called to Burnside Lakes in Cherry Hinton at 5.26pm yesterday evening (August 12) by the ambulance service reporting concerns for a teenage boy in the water.
It's thought that the boy, who is 16 and from the Essex area, was swimming in the lake as part of a group of friends when he got into difficulty.

Search teams recovered the body at about 1pm this afternoon (August 13).
Formal identification is yet to take place but the body is believed to be that of the missing boy. His family have been made aware.
