Body found in search for man who vanished from Scots village five days ago

A body has been found in the search for a man missing from a Scots village.

Thomas Prior vanished from the Lunga Estate in Craobh Haven, Argyll and Bute, on Tuesday, September 24 at around 8.30am.

His family reported the 43-year-old missing sparking a search but tragically a body has now been found. His family have been informed.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The body of a man has been found on the shoreline near Lunga during Saturday evening.

“He is yet to be formally identified. However, the family of Thomas Prior, 43, who had previously been reported missing in the area, has been informed.

“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
