Body found in search for Wrexham man Anthony Roberts
A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Wrexham. Anthony Roberts, 62, was last seen on Friday, July 5 in the Chirk area.
He was seen walking along a lane towards the marina in the direction of Whitehurst. After he disappeared a major search was launched with specialist searches in the area.
His son Steven Roberts also made a plea for his dad to come home.
North Wales Police today said a body had been found in Shropshire following searches for Mr Roberts.
Detective Chief Inspector Dean Jones said: “Formal identification has not yet been confirmed, but Anthony’s family and the Coroner have been informed.
“I would like to thank the public for their support and assisting with our enquiries during our search for Anthony. Our thoughts remain with his family.”
