Body of woman found on Scots beach as police probe 'unexplained' death

Police are probing the 'unexplained' death of a woman after a body was found at a beach in Aberdeen.

Officers were alerted to the body at Donmouth Beach in the city at around 6:40am this morning, Saturday, October 19.

At this stage of the investigation police are treating the woman's death as unexplained and say their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40am on Saturday 19 October, 2024, officers were made aware that the body of a woman was found on the beach in the Donmouth Road area of Aberdeen.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
