Boeing 737 MAX Completes Test Flights in Seattle

The Boeing 737 MAX completed recertification test flights in Seattle between June 29 and July 1, with the Federal Aviation Administration describing it as an “important milestone”.

The aircraft was banned from flying in March 2019 after two fatal crashes.

During the three days of testing, the FAA said pilots and engineers evaluated Boeing’s proposed changes in connection with the automated flight control system on the aircraft.

The tests also included “a wide array of flight maneuvers and emergency procedures to assess whether the changes meet FAA certification standards.”
