Boeing to cut 10% of workforce as strike by factory workers cripples airplane production

Boeing plans to cut 17,000 jobs globally. Boeing's new CEO Kelly Ortberg, who has only been in the post since August, unveiled the changes on Friday (October 11). These announcements comes as 33,000 workers have been on strike in Seattle for a month. They are demanding an increase in salaries and pension.
