Bolivian Band Beats the Boredom of Delayed Flight With Impromptu Performance

Musicians on a Spirit Airlines flight from Fort Lauderdale to New York kept passengers entertained during a four-hour delay with an impromptu performance on August 20.

Footage tweeted by passenger Adam Opio shows a group of men playing instruments in an airplane cabin while waiting for flight NK 174 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to LaGuardia Airport to depart.

Opio told Storyful that the band, from Bolivia, “broke out instruments to help keep people calm and entertained.”

“You can take our money and our time, but you can never take our SPIRIT,” Opio captioned the clip. Credit: Adam Opio via Storyful
