Bomb squad rushed to city street after police discovery in house

A bomb disposal team attended a property along a Welsh street on Saturday morning. South Wales Police said it was carrying out a search of a property at Glanmor Crescent in Swansea when it discovered 'unidentified ordnance'.

The experts recovered the ordnance from the site before 7am this morning, then took it to an area of Swansea Beach where it destroyed an hour later.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers carrying out a search of a property came across some unidentified ordnance. Bomb disposal experts were deployed who recovered the ordnance from the site and took it to Swansea Beach where it was destroyed at 8am."
