Bosses have kept schtum on plot details for the hotly anticipated film which will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga after Danny Boyle stepped down over “creative differences”.

It was believed Shatterhand would be the title of the 25th instalment in the franchise after trade magazine Production Weekly featured a listing for “Bond 25 w/t Shatterhand” in its February 21 newsletter.

But producer Barbara Broccoli later dismissed the name, which was an alias used by supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who featured in Ian Fleming’s 1964 novel You Only Live Twice.

Bond 25 is slated for cinema release on April 25, 2020
