Remember, remember the fifth of November - yes it’s (almost) that time of year again -  Bonfire Night.

And what better place to commemorate the evening than in the city where Guy Fawkes and his motley crew attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament and King James I in the Gunpowder Plot of November 5 1605?

Here’s our guide to firework displays and bonfire night events across London on and around November 5 2023.

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival

Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, London N22 7AY November 3 and 4 Tickets: Adults: £17

Occasionally dubbed the “Glastonbury of Fireworks”, Ally Pally’s Fireworks Festival is more than a mere pyrotechnics display.

This year’s activities at Ally Pally’s fireworks include a German beer festival, DJ sets from Fat Tony and DJ Spoony, sets from tribute acts Joel Coombes: Elton John and Rogue Minogue: Kylie, an ice disco and a dazzling light show.

Make sure to book your tickets in advance as this event sells out fast!

Wimbledon Park Fireworks

Wimbledon Park, Home Park Rd, London SW19 8AU November 4 and 5 Tickets: Adults: £9 Children: Free

Witness one of two breath-taking displays of pyrotechnics at the Wimbledon Park fireworks, where music and fireworks combine to create a dramatic show.

In 2022, a spectacular fire and light show replaced the usual bonfire at a climate-conscious event. Along with rides and a variety of food stalls for snacks.

Choose from one of two shows per venue: an earlier show (5.15pm) more suitable for younger children and families with a ‘Magic’ theme (spellbinding songs with magical themes) and a later show (7.15pm)with a ‘One hit wonders’ musical theme (big tunes from past decades)

Battersea Park Fireworks

Battersea Park, Prince of Wales Drive, London SW11 4NJ November 6 and 7 Tickets: Adults: £12.30 Children: £8.25

This November, South London’s biggest Fireworks Display returns to Battersea Park for a two-night affair. On November 4 – the classic Saturday Night will host a spectacular fireworks display and traditional bonfire, alongside plenty of options for winter comfort food, warming mulled wine and glow in the dark face-paint.

The family orientated Sunday Night show will return on November 5. Alongside the food, drinks and face-paint, Sunday will deliver its own unique and stunning display suited to the younger ones with an earlier start time and an awe-inspiring light display to replace the traditional bonfire.
