  • A publisher has announced that it will be releasing a biography of Caroline Flack's life – two days after her tragic death

  • The book will be titled Caroline...The Short, Sweet And Tragic Life of Caroline Flack, and will be published in April

  • The reaction to the news on Twitter has been furious

Two days after the untimely death of TV presenter Caroline Flack, a publisher has announced that it will be releasing a biography of her life this spring.

Caroline...The Short, Sweet And Tragic Life of Caroline Flack will be written by author Emily Herbert, reports The Bookseller. A share of the profits from the release will go to cyber bullying charities.

Of the book, which will be created by John Blake’s new firm Ad Lib, the journalist and publisher said:

'Emily is a wonderful writer who has serious and important things to say about this terrible tragedy.

'She will reveal much that is unknown about this sad, sad story.'

The reaction to the news on Twitter, however, has been somewhat less optimistic.

After journalist Anita Singh tweeted the news, comments were quick to condemn the speed of the release.

'Some Rita Skeeter levels of cynical sensationalism here. They couldn't even give it a week,' said one user. 'Absolutely nothing ghoulish and opportunist about this. Nothing at all,' said another.

Flack reportedly took her own life at her home in London, on Saturday 15th February. Multiple sources have said that her mental health was extremely poor due to the pending court case against her, for the alleged assault of boyfriend, professional tennis player-turned-model Lewis Burton, in December 2019.

While Burton requested to not press charges, the case went ahead. Flack's management explicitly called out the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for this, following her death.

Women's Health has reached out to John Blake Books for comment, and will update this story when we hear back.
