Booking for Stirling's Santa's Grotto is now open
Thistles shopping centre in Stirling has announced the return of its Santa’s Grotto, supporting Strathcarron Hospice, with booking now open.
This year, Santa Claus will once again be welcoming families to his magical Grotto. With the help of Santa’s Elves, every child can enjoy a festive experience by writing a letter to Santa, taking a seat in his magical sleigh and receiving a special gift from Santa himself.
Santa’s Grotto will be open every Saturday and Sunday from November 30, plus Monday December 23 and Tuesday December 24 between 10am and 5pm. Ticket prices are £7.95 per child, with all proceeds going directly to Thistles’ charity partner, Strathcarron Hospice.
Strathcarron Hospice is a cherished local charity providing free palliative and end of life care for those in Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. Known for its compassionate approach to care, Strathcarron focuses on helping people live well for as long as possible, offering support to patients and their families. The hospice relies on community donations and fundraising events such as this to continue its vital work.
Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles, said: “Our Santa’s Grotto has been a stable part of our support of Strathcarron Hospice. We warmly welcome families across Stirling and beyond to experience a bit of holiday magic with us. Last year’s Grotto was a sell-out success, raising over £7,000 for Strathcarron Hospice, and we hope to build on that this year.”

Claire Kennedy, Corporate Fundraiser at Strathcarron Hospice, said: “We’re so happy to continue our partnership with Thistles for another year as the chosen charity for their Christmas grotto.
“Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and it was heartwarming to see the community come together and raise vital funds for our hospice. The generosity of Stirling’s residents made a huge difference, enabling us to provide essential end-of-life care across Stirling and Forth Valley. This continued support means the world to us, and we’re grateful to be part of such a compassionate and caring community.”
