UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he is self-isolating with “a high heart and full of optimism and confidence,” days after meeting with an MP who later tested positive for COVID-19.
The prime minister shared this video to Twitter on November 16, the day after he was instructed to self-isolate due to being in contact with Ashfield MP Lee Anderson on November 12.
“It doesn’t matter that we were all doing social distancing,” he says in the video, adding: “It doesn’t matter that I’ve had the disease and am bursting with antibodies. We’ve got to interrupt the spread of the disease.”
