Boris Johnson's sister Rachel confirmed for Celebrity Big Brother

Boris Johnson’s family are certainly making the most of the reality TV circuit of late, with the foreign secretary’s sister, Rachel Johnson, confirmed to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house just two months after their father, Stanley Johnson, completed a stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

TV bosses reportedly hope that Rachel will prove to be a brilliant housemate for their ‘all-female’ series of the show.

In an unprecedented move, CBB producers have already` confirmed that Rachel will be entering the famous house in January, with a source adding to The Sun: “Bosses want this year’s show to be quite different. There are lots of intelligent, cultured people going in, all with strong opinions.

“People have been chosen because they might clash — but hopefully there’ll be heated debate and discussion rather than just screaming and storming out. Rachel is a great signing and fits the bill.”

Oxford-educated Rachel has three children and has made a name for herself in journalism – famously clashing with her famous brother over his campaign for Britain to leave the EU.

Despite the clash, the siblings are thought to be incredibly close and Big Brother producers are hoping that she will open up about the controversial politician during her time in the house.

Earlier this month, Channel 5 confirmed that the upcoming series of the reality show will launch with an all-female cast of stars to mark 100 years since women won the right to vote.

Producers hope to explore how the women interact when it’s just them in the house, although male contestants will enter the show later on in the competition.

Celebrity Big Brother kicks off on Channel 5 on Tuesday 2 January 2018 at 9pm.
