A bus carrying the Borussia Dortmund football team to their Champions League quarter-final has been involved in three explosions.

The news has been confirmed by the German police in a tweet.

The German club tweeted to say the bus was damaged in two places.

At least one person was injured.

The team were due to face AS Monaco tonight, but the match has now been postponed until Wednesday.

Dortmund tweeted: “Shortly after the departure of the Borussia Dortmund team bus from the hotel to the stadium there was an incident.

“The bus has been damaged in two places.

“One person has been injured and is in the hospital. At this point we will inform as soon as we know more.”

The team said in a follow-up tweet that player Marc Bartra has been injured and taken to hospital.
