What is it?

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich. The German Bundesliga (and who knew that we'd all be fixating on that this May?) serves up not only its biggest match but probably the match on which the season hangs as Bayern play Dortmund. Yes, it's Der Klassiker and it's first travelling to second, with four points between them in the table.

When is it?

The match at Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday May 26.

What time is kick-off?

The match will get under way at 5.30pm (BST), but if you are in Germany — or in central Europe — then it will be 6.30pm. Quite a teatime treat for UK fans on a weekday afternoon, then.

What TV channel is it on?

BT Sport will be showing it on BT Sport 1. James Richardson and Raphael Honigstein have been their studio men and that nice Mr Owen Hargreaves has been doing a bit of punditry, including calling RB Leipzig "a pack of bees" on Sunday. Sure. If you don't have BT, you can follow all of the action as it happens right here with our minute-by-minute commentary.

What is the team news?

Jadon Sancho has been on the bench twice since the resumption but is expected to start for Dortmund, who are also hoping that captain Mats Hummels comes up alright after having Achilles problems against Wolfsburg on Saturday. He would obviously be a big miss against his former Bayern colleagues. Emre Can could come into midfield but Axel Witsel is still doubtful. Marco Reus is still out.

For Bayen, Serge Gnabry looks set to start on the wing but it's engine room man Thiago whose fitness is of most interest, he missed the last match and is rated as a 'hopeful' for this one.

What is our prediction?

Dortmund were exceptionally impressive in a 4-0 rout of Schalke and then put Wolfsburg away without too many problems at the weekend. Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Thorgan Hazard and company are as exciting a young team as there is in Europe but Bayern are Bayern and have not lost since December. They put five past Frankfurt at the weekend, albeit that they had a minor scare when Eintracht scored twice in three minutes to get it back to 3-2, but with Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski on their games, it is very hard to see them not scoring. Could be a cracker, and we hope to see plenty of goals. And maybe a win for the buzzy up-and-comers over the German emperors?

Our prediction: 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund
