Drive-thrus are set for an environmentally-friendly upgrade, as Boxpark Shoreditch have announced they will host the world’s first cycle-thru coffee shop later this month.

The venue will pop-up in east London next week for just two days, from Tuesday September 25 to Wednesday September 26.

To mark the opening, Boxpark will be giving out free coffees to anyone on two wheels.

British cycling champion and self-confessed coffee lover Chris Hoy will be at the launch, which starts bright and early at 7am — just in time for rush hour.

The new pop-up shop will be opened by Italian coffee manufacturers De’Longhi.

Guests can customise their drink by strength, grind, length and temperature on the new coffee machines, using either the built-in touch screen or via Bluetooth on their phones.
